They have been doing it like this for quite a while. And they are rather high-priced (more expensive than comparable classic brick-on-brick construction).



Our general contractor (District DLG) also built using brick element construction about 20 years ago but has since abandoned it. I know at least one house here that was built this way; outwardly indistinguishable from classic solid constructions, i.e., no shrinkage cracks or the like can be seen from the outside.

The external distinguishability is difficult anyway. Whether prefabricated house or solid construction and which type of substructure at all, you can hardly see it on the houses today, at most through decorative elements made of wood. Although these are also often attached to solid houses. The only thing you can identify from the outside at 100m are the Schwörerhaus houses with their factory-plastered walls. There remains a visible edge where the elements were joined together.
