That sounds like a great start and will build trust for the further course. Do or die, with the signature we have you in our hands... I hope you find a solution :(

...and if I now imagine how carefully the entrepreneur handles his crane, where someone else assumes all liability for him...

It's a pity that construction forums are much more anxious than, for example, motortalks. Such a construction company should be named clearly when they do something like that. The industry is so full of adventurers, shady characters, lions, and ruthless people that a market cleanup would do it good, at least for the customers of this industry. I am really angry about what I have to read there. Karsten

Yes, you are not allowed to mention names here, no links, not even links to manufacturers when it comes, for example, to manufacturers of door intercom systems. But that probably has legal reasons. There are some oddities regarding liability.

But back to the topic.
Have you ever requested a quote from a local construction crane rental company?
Who the crane comes from doesn't really matter. So if you already use the joker at this point, "we always work with them," scheduling....

Normally there are various providers, including local ones, who then take care of permits from the district office/municipality if needed, etc... And they act fairly in terms of price...

Unfortunately, that is the case, probably due to the successful lobbying efforts of the construction industry. But it also works elsewhere, see hygiene traffic light.... Repeat offenders are allowed to contaminate food with dirt and none of it is allowed to become public.

That’s unfortunately also the case with construction companies. Instead of honest references and experiences, there are then the "100%" ratings from purchased portals, lots of seals, and many awards from their own umbrella organization... The marketing machinery suppresses any doubt here, and lawyers prohibit the exchange of experiences between consumers. Soon, you will only be allowed to name black sheep secretly in PMs or at the regulars’ table. :-(

We are currently in the process of obtaining comparative offers, which also requires a bit of persuasion with the crane rental companies. They seem to prefer to work with construction firms. But it looks good, I will report.

So basically, I recommend a consultation with a specialist lawyer for construction law to clarify the contractual situation. That is money well spent and never too late!

Furthermore, I recommend a construction supervisor, building surveyor, expert or something similar, who supports you with construction-related matters and provides advice in these concerns.
