Are the telephone cables in the empty conduit?

I don't think so, I've thought about that as well. But I would have to check again. That would of course be great.

Dumb question, how many wires does the telephone cable have? In an old building, I also had to misuse the telephone cable as a LAN cable. I had 8 wires and almost 1000Mbit. With 4 wires, 100Mbit is possible in an emergency.

Otherwise, telephone connection in the basement => connect router => use LAN outputs (1 output per floor) and then connect a switch on each floor and distribute from there.

What are you planning for in your network? VLAN? Streaming? etc.?

Access point definitely Unifi.

Lan only needs 4 wires, it is true that you can connect RJ45 to 4-wire telephone cables, the problem is the lack of shielding, which prevents achieving Gigabit and 100Mbit only works over short distances.

It has nothing to do with shielding, for gigabit you simply need 8 wires. Of course, depending on the length, shielding is naturally advantageous.
Even with an excellently shielded 4-wire cable, you won't get more than 100Mbit.

How many wires it has .. I would have to check. But honestly, I think only 4.

I thought about that too BUT honestly starting with such a botch job in a new building.. I don't know.
I think I'd rather do it right from the start.

Currently just surfing and a bit of streaming on the TV.
But the demands will increase at some point ;-9
