ERR, KNX, heat pump and controlled residential ventilation = what do you say?

Hello everyone,

does the Einzelraumreglung make sense with this combination? (My heat pump has an active-passive cooling.)

It is a new build, of course.

I am interested in your opinions.

No longer makes sense since at least the Energy Saving Ordinance 2009. Exaggeratedly said, in every constellation as long as low-temperature heating is set.

At least what the average homeowner usually understands under ERR.

No, ERR does not make sense in this constellation (and otherwise with surface heating systems in 99% of cases as well).

When does the ERR even make sense?

Well, and here we are again with this often-discussed topic. We are currently planning our single-family house with exactly this configuration! When I then blurted out the already countless times read "No, that makes no sense!" during the meeting with the architect and the heating engineer, I only got plate-sized eyes in return. In the end, it came down to this: either I sign that the heating engineer installs it against all laws and regulations and I waive any warranty, or I just do a slimmed-down ERR with KNX (temperature sensors are built into the MDT switches anyway) and the heating actuators aren’t that expensive either. So of course, I tucked my tail.

That's exactly how we do it too. Almost out of necessity.
