Hello everyone,

for our new building, a white, 3mm scratch coat plaster is contractually specified as the exterior plaster.

Is an additional leveling coat necessary or advisable here?

Thanks and best regards!

Yes. Although the plaster is white, it won't stay that way for long, but will quickly get dirty. A coat of silicone resin paint works wonders. Water beads off, dirt does not settle, the white, for us RAL 9016, is truly white and not grayish. Take the coating on top. It's only good.
