I have just moved into a multi-family house, and where I wanted to set up my bedroom, there is an electrical box in the wall for the entire community. All the wiring comes together there. Although the access to the box is on the other side of the wall, so not in my bedroom, I still fear negative effects on my health due to electrosmog. Unfortunately, a different room layout is not possible. What options do I have as a layperson to protect myself from electrosmog? Is there something like a shield that I could install on the wall?

[h=2]Every person is actually differently sensitive to electrosmog. If it bothers you, you can apply a shielding material:

How do shielding materials work?[/h] When electrosmog hits a shielding material, there are three ways for the radiation:

    [*]The material reflects the radiation
[*]The material partially lets the radiation pass through
    [*]The material absorbs the radiation

Hello builder, there is already a thread in the forum on the topic of [Elektrosmog]; if you use the forum's search function, you can read it.

A question to builder Egon: "Fabric absorbs radiation"? How is that supposed to work physically, a radiation storage?

There are modern building materials that are capable of absorbing part of the electromagnetic radiation (E-Smog). How it works, I don't know, but that's not so important ;)

Well, it is important; if you spend money to obtain a technical function, you definitely want to know whether it is technically even possible to achieve this promised function.

Yes, I would now also be interested in the function of these shielding products, after all, I don't want to spend money on hocus pocus....
