Guys, you’ve kind of gotten off topic....

So I always pay attention to that to keep my operating costs nice and low. I prefer to pay a bit more once and then less in the long run. That makes more sense and eventually it’s worth it again since these devices usually aren’t that much more expensive.

that's true, the devices are not that much more expensive, but if everything together maybe costs 2000€ more, you can still consume a lot of electricity for 2000€ before it pays off, you really have to hope that the devices last that long

yes that is also kind of my problem. I pay an extra €200 for a device and then calculate whether it will be worth it after 6 years, but after 4 the device breaks, then it was not a great idea to rely on saving electricity

That can also happen to you with a non-energy-saving device that it breaks down

Yes, but the non-energy-saving device costs 200€ less, that's what I mean. I didn't want to say that energy-saving devices are worse or that they all break after x years. But you are right, maybe we should think about the environment.
