Hello, I have a question. Since I am not familiar with this subject at all. Today our earthworks started and I have a question about the electrical installation. What do I need to pay attention to before the slab is poured? First the foundation grounding has to be done, right?? And afterwards??? Are the walls then built up??? How did you proceed?? Thank you very much for your help

Do you do everything yourself?

When grounding, you should, if possible, comply with the current standard for foundation and ring grounding electrodes: DIN 18014:2014-03. However, this is almost never done because many architects, shell construction contractors, and electricians have never heard of this standard. In many cases, undocumented execution is therefore carried out by the shell construction company, which is, however, non-compliant with the standard.

We had the specialists do it and of course trusted them, since we, like you, have no idea about the subject.

What should be considered with the grounding conductor? Either the part is grounded or it is not. In the second case, that is a major fail; in the other case, no one will ever notice. Still, it is certainly a good idea to have it done or to know someone who can help you with it.
