Hello,
I haven’t found much with the search term "Astro," so here is a new thread.

We want to install electric roller shutters in all rooms.
At least in the bedrooms, I want the roller shutters to go up automatically at sunrise.
As far as I know, the term for this is "Astro."

I have no idea about this and would like to know from you which brand offers decent products and how exactly these (especially the part with the sensor) work and, if known, what such a system costs per roller shutter (excluding installation costs).
I am also very happy to read about your experiences and what you have installed yourselves, etc.

So far, I have seen at GIRA that there is a strange antenna that you are supposed to stick on the outside of the window.
Such an antenna is not very nice and will probably fall off at some point (suction cups have never held for me).
Also, I don’t want to install a separate antenna for every window.

Then we are considering whether it makes sense to equip all other windows in the house with such a sensor or to use another type of programming that can simulate presence during vacation, for example.
However, I don’t want that at any price, although I have no idea what extra costs these additional functions cause per roller shutter.
We do not want to install a BUS system; I hope there are already radio variants on the market.

The most important thing, though, is the Astro sensor for the bedrooms.

Otherwise, our plan is to bring together all roller shutters in the house, in addition to decentralized switches per room, centrally in one place and to install an additional switch there for "raising/lowering all roller shutters in the house." We do not want a central distribution per floor.

Our architect recommended the control system by Somfy to us. (Still in planning) As far as I know, the astro function works based on weather data retrieved via the internet. That means calculations of when the sunrise occurs in the area. Of course, there is also a control system that automatically darkens the rooms with the shutters during intense sunlight or time control. However, a good dealer for windows & shutters should be able to explain the details.

Well, that would annoy me if I’m sleeping and the thing starts making noise.
Although... maybe you don’t hear it, or other people’s windows/shutter boxes have better sound insulation.

I have the Thor Rademacher (can be obtained for 40 euros per control unit from Jarolift) and am quite satisfied. Most craftsmen charge significantly more for a simple switch! Our electricians then connected them for five euros each. They have an internal calendar and simply calculate the sunrise. You can also set an offset if needed (so a bit earlier/later). For my needs, this works well, I use it in many rooms (when it's dark, there isn't much to see outside anyway). The device also has a whole lot of other functions (day/week programs, random function for absence, etc.). If needed, also with a sun sensor and suction cup, but it also works without (this is just, for example, for shading in summer). From on the go

The thing with the stored times for sunrise per day or its calculation would be enough for me already, and if there is already a presence mode directly included in it

wouldn't it then be possible to just link one of these switches to the central switch so that the signal can be distributed equally to all blinds?
that every blind would have its own astro transmitter would be completely over

Well, because of the price, we have them on every blind (as written, just get some quotes for switches... and I think there should be the possibility to operate the blind in every room). An occupancy mode is not included, but I believe such a mode wouldn't work well in the bedroom either, since you might be very still and quiet under the covers, how is occupancy electronics supposed to detect that? For us, in the bedrooms (especially the children's), the blinds do not go up automatically, because it's quite different (the children are still very small). Some go up early when I have to go to work, but most use the astro function.
