I guess I need to check in the store whether the height works with the electrical box. Too bad that thing isn't 120 cm wide :(

I think this solid wood solution with angle brackets from the hardware store isn’t silly at all:

119x28 cm sounds optimal, the price is good too, right?

Technically it is okay, visually it must please you. If you are unsure about the design, are there no [Kommilitonen] among your fellow students who can advise you on design?

I am working on my thesis, so I am not around so often anymore. With these linear beams, it should not look so bad: But I would have to find out exactly which cavity anchors I need.

I find these brackets somewhat unsuitable for a drywall, as one arm of the lever is very short, the other long. However, you are not putting much weight on it... If you are very lucky, there is a specialist employee at the hardware store who can say this more reliably.

The normal levers are 15 cm long ... it doesn't look that great anyway :( Or he realizes that he has a victim in front of him :(
