Hello everyone,
while reviewing our construction description, the following point caught my attention.
On the ground floor, the wall structure (simplified) looks as follows:
aerated concrete-insulation-brick cladding
Since we want to clad the gable sides and a bay window on the house with wood, the construction company is planning a timber frame-insulation-wood facade.
As a layperson, I wonder if the transition from the masonry ground floor to the timber frame at the gable is not problematic? (airtightness, thermal bridges...)
Or is this just the concern of a cautious homeowner who hears fleas cough in every point of the construction description?
Best regards
