Hello everyone,
Our house is now 8 years old. Since last year, sparrows have been nesting under our roof. At the beginning of the year, we installed a plastic eaves comb. For a while, we had peace. However, for a few weeks now, I have been noticing that broken tines are repeatedly lying scattered on our terrace. At first, I thought it might still be from the installation and that broken tines were blown out of the gutter by the wind. In the meantime, there are about 25 pieces, and that can no longer be the case. Every two days, one or two more appear. Has anyone by chance made similar observations or had similar experiences? What could be the reason? Could it possibly be a marten that gets into the gutter via the downspouts? I find it hard to imagine that the sparrows could be breaking the eaves comb.
