Eaves of city villa with tent roof

Hello, we are currently planning a 2-story modern city villa with a hip roof. The ridge height will be 9.06m. The roof pitch is 25 degrees and currently a roof overhang of 50 cm is planned. I am not sure if a 50 cm roof overhang will look good, but the architect said it is completely sufficient. She thinks larger overhangs tend to look like a house in a winter ski resort... What do you think is optimal? In the drawing, it's somehow very hard to imagine and with finished houses, I am always unsure which one actually has 50 cm. Thanks in advance for your opinions!

Weberhaus has many sample photos with larger roof overhangs. It also looks good on an urban villa. Of course, the 50cm in Epis' picture also look good.

The more roof overhang, the better the facade is protected and the longer it looks good - especially on the North & East side. I always prefer more rather than less roof overhang. - In midsummer, the south facade is also in the shade earlier and heats up for a shorter time.

An excessively large roof overhang can overwhelm the house.
And I think: the house in the photo by [Bauexperte] is very appealing.

Ypg - see Weberhaus. 100 cm are certainly not too much for a house of normal size. I don't think the Bavarian style with a gable roof and large overhangs is that bad either.

With regard to weather protection, 50 cm are certainly sufficient and not more is always better. Try googling pictures of algae-covered facades and compare.
