Hello everyone,

I would like to install a partition wall in our "Außenlager" that is not quite floor-to-ceiling. Dimensions approx. 2.4 m long and 2.2 m high. I was thinking of using a 5 cm stud that is double-planked on each side because I also want to hang some heavy items. So that would give me a total thickness of 10 cm. I am now wondering which boards I should use? Does anyone have a good tip? The room is not directly connected to the house and is unheated. However, the room itself is enclosed and has concrete walls with a door. Do I need moisture-resistant boards? I was thinking of using the one-man multifunction boards from Knauf?

For me, a typical case of OSB(3).

Can I first cover with OSB 3 and then drywall? Does that make sense?

That can probably be done. I wouldn't do it for an external storage. If OSB is "too ugly," then just paint it.

I would find a plasterboard in the usable area too sensitive. I would rather opt for a gypsum fiber board or just OSB, especially with regard to attaching something to it.

If the wall is not supposed to be floor-to-ceiling, where will the studs be attached?
