Hello,

the drywall is done.
Ceilings and sloping ceilings have been covered with plasterboard.

There is now a small gap between the sloping ceilings and the ceiling.
There is also a small gap between the sloping ceilings and the wall.

These must be sealed with acrylic. The question is, do I do this before or after I have covered the ceilings and sloping ceilings with [Glattvlies]?
And do I do this before or after I have wallpapered the walls with [Raufaser]?

Thank you very much.

You don’t do that at all. Because no matter what you do there, it tears. So you leave the gap and stick a nice [Stuckleiste] over it.

I also applied acrylic there after the textured wallpaper was on. Then painted over it with white... after 1 3/4 years, nothing has cracked yet.

Got lucky. Woodchip wallpaper also bridges a bit. Especially critical when you don’t stick anything on it, but only paint. Specifically: The biggest crack problem occurs at the transition between masonry and drywall. Example here: Walls built with bricks, so practically rigid, ceiling with wooden beams and drywall. Not really rigid. Solution: Joint not acrylic, but molding. Transition drywall to drywall: both not rigid. So solution possibly molding or also possible: embed crack bridging tape, re-wallpaper. That’s my understanding. Karsten

The expert advised us to do it after the house has dried out, so at the earliest after one! year

ok, thanks, I don't like the strip I asked three painters, all say after wallpapering, directly acrylic before painting Do they have no clue or do they just want to leave quickly? But the one painter who does it in the end, I know him, he will just come back if it doesn't work.
