Our notary did not take any time for questions(!!!) regarding the contract. He just rattled it off! Signature at the bottom and done!! I would definitely have it checked. And I see it the same way with the street. Don’t pay for anything that comes much later. Just ask the neighbors in construction sections 1 and 2 if everything was okay there. It’s not a guarantee, but better than nothing.

For your information: I contacted the notary or notary assistant at the time and he took a lot of time for my questions and explained everything. It was exactly the same later at the actual appointment with the seller, notary, and us. Here the notary himself again addressed the most important things and explained to us what that means.

On the internet, there are various lawyer forums where a purchase contract evaluation by a lawyer costs EUR 50-150. It was always worth that much money to me to avoid major blunders ...
