Hello,

is there a way to forward the doorbell to the smartphone? Or even to have it ring only on the phone? I don’t want a camera or intercom or anything like that. I just want to be alerted on my phone when someone rings the doorbell.

There are a few situations where I find this very useful. I work a lot from home and my office will be in the attic. Also, I listen to a lot of music there. So if someone rings the door downstairs, I probably won’t notice.

Another situation is when the children are sleeping and you want to turn off the acoustic signal of the doorbell but still be informed on your phone when someone rings. The classic case is the children are put to bed and mom and dad have ordered some food...

Are there simple solutions for this without directly working with cameras etc. pp.?

Thanks for the hints

"Ring" would be a well-known product there.

Thanks to KNX, an LED on the button in the music room lights up red when someone rings.

Is there now a product from Ring without a camera?

We also have it via KNX. Each MDT glass button sends a corresponding signal, and a SMS arrives on the phone (but only when I am absent).

That's how I implemented it as well. Including the shutdown when it gets dark. Just as the OP wishes. Again here: KNX makes everything possible.
