Hello,

we also want to build and have already informed ourselves at various providers. Our gut feeling says that [M3 Massivhaus] would be the right one for us. What bothers me a little, however, is that you can find very little about them on the internet.

Is anyone familiar with the company?
Many thanks

We backed away from M3 because, according to our research, the company has only existed since May 2009 and the managing directors (at least one) previously worked at Kampa (which is insolvent). Also due to the (in our opinion) too high price, we backed away again and decided differently.
Trust accounts or not, everyone knows that good relationships with craftsmen are worth their weight in gold. And you don't build those in 8 months. That takes years.

Has anyone already decided on it?

We have also received a very good offer from M3 Massivhaus. Previously, we had a pleasant information talk with Mr. W. (Ulm area) during which he took note of our wishes and was also quite competent in answering our questions (we are already in an advanced stage of the search and the questions were therefore already quite specific). The price of the offer is great and has so far only been undercut by solid builders like IBG, who, however, have very poor reviews in experience reports. So far, I was only disappointed by the price for the technically finished variant. The difference, according to a rough calculation, only slightly exceeds the material value, so you trade a lot of work for a small saving.

Has anyone already decided on M3 in the meantime and have initial experiences from the planning phase? We are still wavering a bit due to the lack of experience reports.... The trustee model promises a certain level of security, but the risk with the warranty remains (even though they apparently transfer the claims against the craftsmen to the builder as standard, which is advantageous and also not the standard)

My conclusion so far:
- competent advice
- clever overall energy technology concept, and not half solutions as offered by many others

I know Mr. W. and can only report the best about him as an architect and colleague. However, I do not know the M3-Massivhaus. Besides, almost all reputable house building companies assign the claims in case of warranty to the customers, that is standard. As a financer, I come across quite a few offers.

M3 House Offer

We also requested an offer from M3. The price is almost too good to be true compared to other providers. This makes one nervous and raises the question - is this company really reputable?
Who has already built with M3? Can anyone give us tips on how we can protect ourselves?
The offered bank guarantee is good, but maybe there are even better ideas.
Question to Radio 23 - who did you build with?

Hello Backstein,
maybe for everyone at once, I had also privately asked radio23 who he built with, it was Nova-Haus. However, for the house we are aiming for, they were significantly more expensive than M3.

We also specifically asked our building consultant from M3 about the missing experience reports. The problem is that the company was founded last year, but apparently no construction activities were started in 2009. They are now probably starting gradually... I’m curious whether there will be reports soon.
We personally are still undecided between M3 and another provider, but we also have a good feeling about M3. I believe the notary model together with the completion insurance offers more security than most other companies provide.

I hope that in the course of next week it will be decided with whom we will build... then I will gladly report more about M3 if we choose them.
