Does a building dryer still work if fleece wallpaper is already applied?

Hello,

I wanted to get this dehumidifier:

Aktobis WDH-930EEH

Is it effective if the non-woven wallpaper is already on?

Second question: If the device is running, do all the windows have to be closed?

The device is a toy. If you still get it, the windows should be closed.

However, I expect similar or even better drying if you don't buy the device and instead ventilate properly.

Proper ventilation means: heating the rooms, then airing them out briefly and doing this repeatedly. Ideally 5-6 times a day.

It's fine without heating as well. Just keep all the windows open from noon until evening. During the day, the sun warms the rooms and the air is very dry.

And the dryer is really a toy. If something like that is needed, it's better to borrow it.

Sorry that has to be. Please don’t hold it against me now for what I’m writing! Made my day :-p especially since you’re a guy :-) and ask questions like that.

Regarding 1) Why shouldn’t it work? Do you mean your thin wallpaper prevents the wall from drying?

Regarding 2) You can also have the window fully open. If you absolutely want to blow energy = heat into nature and pay hefty construction electricity for it, that’s possible.

Man, seriously... *shakes head*

Thank you for the good tips. So it's better to ventilate several times and to buy such a device.

And does that work even if wallpaper is already on?

Yes.

Oh god, the wallpaper question again :-)

If airing out is not enough, then talk to your shell builder or screed layer. They can also lend you a professional device for cash. But those things consume a lot of electricity. So don't overdo it.
