Hi MaJu,
I have had the RWE-SH since 2012.
Installed are:
- Radiator thermostats (we do not have underfloor heating, but SH also offers a distributor for that)
- Several surface-mounted sockets
- Several light switches/buttons
- Buderus integration of the heating system and the thermal solar system.
- Smartphone mobile access
- Sunrise-sunset app
- Virtual occupants
Future:
- Shutter control (as I gradually electrify the shutters, everything except the motors is prepared for it)
- Integration of the solar system
- Surface-mounted dimmer
- Water leak warning system (should be coming soon)
- Flush-mounted sockets / light switches / dimmers (the latter are currently not okay, so I'm still waiting, plus I have to switch to Gira covers, unfortunately I used the Jung stuff.....)
- Miele washing machine / dishwasher with app integration
- Window sensors on the ground floor + programming of a trivial alarm system (using one or two RWH-SH smoke detectors, which can also be misused for this)
- Indoor monitoring via cam on the ground floor
Not planned:
- Electric front door lock.
The installation is so trivial and simple that I did not need anyone from RWE. Only the app is not optimal. But I am sure that something new will come that will be significantly more modern.
I do not have the exact costs at hand anymore. I got the starter package very cheaply (I think 160 euros; base station, one thermostat, one switch). Then I gradually bought some more over months and when I was at home, bought a bit more again. I estimate the total cost was well under 1000 euros.
Of course, this is not comparable to KNX & My Gekko. But it is much cheaper. It does what it is supposed to do. The heating integration is very good. Because the heating curve is controlled cleanly and efficiently based on the feedback from the thermostats. Allegedly it brings a 6% savings. I cannot confirm that, as I have no comparison value.
For me personally, the RWE-SH is enough, it reliably does what it is supposed to do. I don't need more. My demands are purely basic functions here.
Best regards
Thorsten
