Hello,

For what reason did you have to pay for a reduction? After all, the provider saves material as well as working time and thus labor costs?

Best regards from the Rhineland

Hello,

More likely in the range of 0.50 m.

The sqm costs per floor area don't change either, but the height of the creditable living space certainly does. Your provider will tell you what the sqm x running meter x height costs.

Of course; the question must be whether a theoretical two-storey building is allowed on your plot.

Rhine regards

We didn't have to pay anything because our house already had the 32° roof pitch in the standard equipment. But we possibly asked what it would cost and it was a bit too expensive for us.

Why does the provider save material? I rather think the opposite, higher walls are built in the attic and therefore actually more material is needed. Or am I misunderstanding something?

Best regards
Lilik

Hello,

Maybe I'm missing something. But you wrote: "Our construction company charged 600€ for every degree less of roof pitch." If the roof pitch changes, the knee wall doesn't automatically change too, does it?!

Yes, correct. If we had chosen less roof pitch instead of 32°, for example 25°, it would have been €4200 more expensive. Do you think we would have had the same knee wall of 115cm with a 25° roof pitch?

Hello,

Yes, why not? Initially, the reduced roof pitch only lowers the ridge height and not the outer masonry on which the roof structure stands. Somehow I'm a bit confused ...

Rhenish greetings
