Wow! Looks really great. Tell me exactly how you did it. Apparently you have suitable tools in the house. :D
The most important tools were a miter saw and a drill press. With the miter saw we cut everything to length. Then we made a sample strip with the correct hole spacing. With this, we marked the identical hole position on all 138 strips. Lightly center-punch everything and then under the drill press. For the M6 threaded rods we drilled 7mm holes (over 400 holes… phew…). Everything deburred a bit. For the threaded rods we made small round wooden feet. They should be exactly 10 mm high for the distance from the floor. And exactly something like that we found in an old craft box. With a 10 mm wood drill bit we drilled a hole halfway through and then hammered in an M6 nut... voilà… perfect! For the correct distance between the wooden strips, black plastic spacers (H15xW12xM6) are used. They are nicely inconspicuous. Now back to the tedious work… thread everything… wooden strip - spacer - wooden strip - spacer… The whole construction leans on wooden strips which we screw to the pillars… held by magnets or Velcro. We'll see… we still have to complete the last step.
In between some spacing experiments with Jenga wooden blocks ;)
