DIY: Enclosing the Refrigerator with a Self-Built Frame

We have finally tackled an eternal construction site. The wall recess for our refrigerator (60cm wide) did not have a standard size. So no frame fit. Therefore, we have now built one ourselves from simple hardware store strips. The challenge was that the door to the pantry is right next to it. Visually, the refrigerator frame should correspond as much as possible to the door frame.. here is the successful result Best regards Steffi

That could be ours based on the handles. Samsung? Isn't the KS door a bit... inconvenient when positioned with the counter? Or can it be opened the other way around (ours, I think, has these handles on both sides for easy hinge swapping).

Hello Yvonne, ours is a Bauknecht. We have changed the door hinge. The door handles are on both sides, so it is misleading. : The refrigerator size seems quite common. We also have some leeway in height. When buying new, we could have chosen between different brands size-wise. I hope it will stay that way in the future as well. Have a good start into the new year.
