Hi. Does anyone have a DISKODANS blackout roller blind and can tell me how to use it regarding rolling up? I can't make sense of the instructions on page 15 – does it mean it retracts automatically? If yes, how and from what length? I only want to pull it out about 80.

Hello I have the Tupplur blind, it should behave exactly like the Dikodans. When pulling down the blind, a spring is tensioned, which then retracts the blind automatically when opening it. To do this, as in the top left picture on page 15, pull the blind down briefly and release it, it will then roll up by itself thanks to the spring. Best regards Section chief

Hi, thanks. I assume that works at any height, that it rolls up when pulled briefly? Does the rolling happen very quickly?

Well, it starts with the fact that when pulling down, it doesn’t necessarily stay down in every position. For example, you pull the blind down to the desired position and then sometimes, when you release the downward pulling pressure(?), it wants to roll all the way back up or it stays in that position. So it can happen that you have to pull the blind up and down a few times briefly to "feel" whether it will stay in the position. I hope I can explain it somewhat. It’s similar when rolling up: If you pull the blind down too far, it may stay in the new position instead of rolling up. You may have to pull the blind down briefly several times so that it then rolls up by itself. This all sounds very flawed, but it’s not that bad. To me, the mechanism doesn’t seem entirely reliable, but so far, if it didn’t work the first time, it always worked after one or two additional tries. Best regards Section Chief

Well, that sounds exciting! Let’s see if I give it a try – if it’s too stupid, I can always return it. Thank you.

The only problem is when the blind is supposed to rest on the windowsill at the bottom, but it locks in such a way that it hangs just above it or rests on it and creates folds. For this reason, I replaced the mechanism on the TUPPLUR with a side pull roller from an old TUPPLUR. A few months ago, I bought the blind in black because I didn't want white or gray, and now there is such a great purple.
