Hello dear members,
with our developer, only screed (with underfloor heating) is laid, and the floor covering must be installed by the buyer themselves after handover.
However, the interior doors are already installed by the developer beforehand.
The issue of "interior doors already installed - floor covering still needs to be laid" worries me greatly.
I am not an expert, but I would instinctively say that the floor covering should be installed first and then the doors.
The developer does not know which floor covering I will choose and is not interested (unfortunately).
Isn't there a huge risk that the gap between the floor covering and the door leaf will be much too large later? Or possibly too small?
I also imagine there could be problems at the transition between the door frame and the floor covering, since the floor has to be laid around it.
I imagine it all very unpleasant.
What do you think about this approach? Or is this common practice and there are good solutions for it?
The developer is very inflexible, so retrofitting the doors afterwards is unfortunately not possible.
Thank you very much for your help!
