Hello everyone,

I am currently planning the renovation of an existing house using timber construction. From the first floor upwards, I am envisioning a wooden facade. According to the development plan, the facade may be executed with a [Hellbezugswert] of 80%-100%. Can someone tell me where I can find the [HBW] of wood or how it can be determined or specified?

Thank you very much and best regards

The Hellbezugswert has nothing to do with the material.
"The so-called Hellbezugswert (HBW) measures the brightness of a color tone and indicates how much energy in the visible light range is reflected by the facade: The value for black corresponds to 0, the value for white to 100."
If I look at a normal color chart for orientation of facade colors, I wouldn't immediately know of any suitable facade wood (without color) that could fit.

Thank you for your feedback. I will probably have to speak with the responsible authority and clarify whether a wooden facade is even permissible.

I don't see any problem off the bat - it just needs to be cut accordingly...
