Defective window installation

A few months ago, we received new PVC windows, new roller shutters, and new aluminum window sills.

A local family business in its 4th generation with a nice homepage was responsible.

Unfortunately, many damages have occurred, see photos.

The window installer is reluctantly "willing" to fix some defects, including removing and reinstalling exterior window sills, but he wants very precise information from the facade renovator/painter or from us as client about the "inner plaster edge" or "plaster reveal dimension," because we want an APU strip.

Since the painter from the window installer (who is blocking the renovation) is now annoyed, we as the client have to take action again.

Where can we find technical guidelines on how window sills should be installed on new windows and window reveals in existing buildings according to aRdT?

The public official expert was also here many weeks ago and identified defect rectification costs of about €10,000. The report is with the window manufacturer, despite the deadline, he cannot read it, asks us how one thing or the other is meant, comes to the house every few weeks, does a little here, a little there, but nothing complete.

Then the next step would probably be to go to the lawyer. That is really an outrage, what the pictures show there.

I would try to avoid if at all possible that this window manufacturer is allowed to "rework" there themselves. What was botched there really isn’t of poor quality.
