Decentralized ventilation system with or without heat recovery

we will soon have a house built, probably made of [Hochloch-Ziegel] with a thickness of 36.5 cm. The construction company recommended installing a Lunos ventilation system without heat recovery. However, many other construction companies use ventilation systems with heat recovery. Therefore, we are uncertain. Is it financially worthwhile to purchase a ventilation system with heat recovery? Will the money be recouped over time through savings on heating costs? We will install an air-to-water heat pump with underfloor heating.

Yes, but not the cheap pendulum fans from Lunos with alternating exhaust/supply air, but the decentralized two-way devices. In new buildings, the effort is not much greater. Perhaps Lunos also has some with counterflow heat exchangers in their program, but I would not recommend the pendulum fans. Individual units, such as the Zehnder Comfi Air or Viessmann VitoVent or other manufacturers (Buderus and Bosch I believe also have some) have higher recovery rates. The percentage figures for the pendulum fans are fantasy numbers and depending on room size and layout you are more likely to have problems with exhaust air and odors in the kitchen and bathroom, since the pendulum fans work cyclically and thus tend to distribute the air from the rooms rather into other rooms. It can certainly be done with pendulum fans as well, but generally I would rather recommend the two-way devices with counterflow/crossflow heat exchangers.

I would not choose either of the two options and would install a central controlled residential ventilation system. It simply has various advantages, but of course it also costs more.

What is the surcharge for heat recovery supposed to be? Basically, I don't find either a house with window ventilation or a ventilation system without heat recovery up to date.

For new constructions, I would always choose a central ventilation system with heat recovery. For renovation of existing buildings, it depends on the framework conditions; a decentralized system would also be okay for me.

A central ventilation system is not an option for us due to high costs. The decision is between a decentralized ventilation system with or without heat recovery. The additional cost for a decentralized ventilation system with heat recovery is approximately 4000 €. Now we want to calculate when we will roughly recoup the investment.
