Hello

take a look around the hardware store. The carpentry shop also makes cuts on used wood. Usually one euro per cut.

I will definitely take a look at the hardware store, but there is hardly any advice available there at the moment, so I wanted to get some information beforehand. The carpentry is certainly also an alternative; we have one in town. However, I have to make some longitudinal cuts (not all of them have to look good since they are covered by the base), so I will get suitable tools. I find the jigsaw quite okay for the short side, but not so optimal for longitudinal cuts, although you can certainly do it that way.

Hello

Your father-in-law with the table circular saw would be my first choice.
Does it have a fence?
Buy a new, good saw blade with fine teeth. That should work.

I would call the hardware store of your choice, advice is usually still possible over the phone.

Hobbyist tip if it is only due to a shaky hand and not the wavering saw blade.

Clamp a straight guide, such as a level, with two C-clamps. Then guide the jigsaw along it.

Best regards, mini
