I think no one will be able to make a well-founded statement about it. I recently wanted to discuss a change to the roof truss with my architect. He said: Since the structural engineer says "No," I can't say anything else, even if I consider it justifiable.

I have a ceiling construction of 50cm, of which 26cm is insulation. I want to avoid the suspended ceiling because otherwise I would have to rebuild the exhaust air system and would only have 2.15m of room height remaining. However, if there is a risk of compromising the load-bearing capacity of the ceiling, I have no other choice.

It doesn't always have to be "everything" "always" so cool. There are certainly good lighting solutions where the construction sits under the ceiling. Dropping the entire ceiling just because a spotlight is to be integrated in one spot seems exaggerated to me. But I know that .... when you have a plan and it doesn't go smoothly ... that can be difficult

Good idea. I solved it the same way in my mini office. The panel is only 45 mm thick and is visually almost "in the ceiling".

Good gracious - one doesn’t usually treat oneself to that ... As in the picture with the red X, that would probably be the case - but those would be holes for spotlights the size of subwoofers, besides the picture again shows a pumice concrete element ceiling, but you were talking about brick.
