Current floor plans: How to find them fastest?

I really enjoy following the floor plan discussions and occasionally like to contribute with a post.

However, if a thread goes on for several pages and the OP has possibly posted updated floor plans in between, I don’t find them right away and then have to somewhat tediously flip through dozens of pages until I come across the possibly latest version.

Would there be another way to show all images with changes collected at the beginning of the thread?

No idea how other users see it, but I would find it great to see the respective updates at a glance and not accidentally reply to an old version.

Best regards, Ibdk14

As a former moderator, I know that it takes a huge effort to link every photo in the first post. A mod would have to look through every post. And even then, you always have to scroll back to the beginning.

I'll give you a tip on how I do it: I skim through the posts and then take screenshots. With the phone and [Tapatalk] that works very well ;)
That way I can look at the photos in my album and even print them out for sketching if needed.

Brief regards

The floor plan discussions are just a small side topic here. The extra category has only existed for about 2 weeks or so, which is something. Other forums have different goals. For example, I am in a forum (topic health/surgeries), where you have to submit photos to the admin for them to be posted. Surgical scars probably need to be reviewed beforehand.

Whereas the forum thrives on floor plans and finances, the rest is accessory. And just because the floor plans have been shifted doesn't mean it's new.

Manually would of course be crap. But automated as an image strip with thumbnails, sorted chronologically. That would be something.

Having all attachments in a "gallery" view would be good – but preferably starting from the most recent page rather than from the beginning of a (longer) thread. What rather "disturbs" my overview is when someone inserts an attachment in their reply that is just an unchanged quote of an older attachment. One could automatically assign running numbers to all attachments of a thread. But that is elaborate, and forum software is no wish concert, but mostly "finished" basic concepts with a manageable range of possible add-on modules. Many layers of add-ons also cost loading time.
