Hello, we are currently building our house in a new development area, here are the details first:

- Gable roof, gable oriented east / west
- Burgundy clinker, bay windows each plastered white
- Windows basalt gray
- planned paving stone: light Burgpflaster, tumbled

Unfortunately, we can't agree on the paving and garden design. Since financial resources are limited, a lot of lawn / simple design should be implemented.

To the north (top) in the site plan is the street, to the south is the garden. At the end of the garden and our property there is a 3.5m high embankment that we also have to plant. On the right and left our neighbors are building, a hedge is planned to be created on the boundary line and maintained by both parties.

Maybe someone has ideas, we would be happy!

To what extent do you want an answer now? Your paving surface is fixed, and the location of the terrace and access paths is also according to plan... Do you now want a planting plan with planting examples or an alternative to the paving plan? I find your question a bit too open and vague right now, can you specify it?

My experience – and that of many acquaintances who have built – is that you simply have to take your time with the garden and front yard, etc.

We had so much stress with the move, the school re-registration last December, that we only started on the garden in August. And even then, the garden – front yard still looks very much like a "construction" site.

That means leveling, laying the lawn, gravel for the terrace and paths, prefab garage ... if we have that, the goal for this year will be achieved. Depending on the budget, maybe one or two more plants.

So don’t stress yourselves too much, the garden can afford to wait a few more months if necessary.
