I just wanted to upload two photos, but of course they are too large again. *annoyed*
But maybe you can estimate it without photos for now: Our garden is bounded at the top by an embankment, because it was originally built on a slope. The slope is 2.30 m high. The slope is such that you could climb up it without steps if needed, but especially for the kids, that’s not really ideal.
We would like to build a slope slide into the embankment for playing, and also build a little set of steps or a path into the slope so it’s easy to get up.
We have a spade and a shovel, stones, slabs, etc. we can probably get, but otherwise we really don’t know how to lay it out so that it holds up. Does it make sense for amateurs to try this or is it better to hire a (semi-)professional right away? Do you think this is a huge effort or can something like this, doesn’t have to be luxurious, be realized fairly cheaply as well?
Next to the house there is also a small “field” measuring 3m x 1.35m that was used as a strawberry patch but has totally gone to waste. There used to be two smaller trees there as well, but their trunks were already cut down by us when we bought the house. We would like to completely redo this area and plant grass anew. We should probably start on that soon, right? Without a small excavator or something like that, do we have a chance to get the trunks out or to clean the soil enough to plant grass well?
