I would definitely have this checked by a lawyer. It smells a bit like they want to charge again for the travel allowances. Especially if the work could actually have been done in one day.

I would first talk to the craftsman; hopefully, he will come to his senses again without a lawyer.

Morning

Here, only three hours of extra work are being mentioned.
How many hours were actually worked in addition to the original contract?

I cannot understand that. If we can foresee that a job will require an overtime hour with our services, then it is simply done that way in order to avoid additional travel costs. In my opinion, it also does not make sense from the provider's own workflow.

If I am forced to leave the construction site, then that is also my fault, or these additional costs are charged to the client who "forces" me to leave the site when it is not my mistake.

I assume that this can be resolved informally and the second trip is not paid for, but one should keep the overall picture in mind.

Best regards
Dirk Grafe
