Costs for own work - What does the company really calculate?

Hello everyone,

we are planning a single-family house with about 140m², DN 33° KN 1m.
The house has a third gable but is otherwise quite simple.
Now my question.
To fulfill our dream, we have to do some things ourselves. Now the amounts that the construction companies deduct seem quite low to me.
Maybe you can tell me how realistic the prices are or if the construction companies here try to get as much as possible out of us.
- Roof insulation as own contribution
For this, the construction companies deduct about €7000 including materials and labor costs.
Ground floor area (75m²). Now I have heard from others that they save up to €20,000 through this.

- Laying floor tiles (40m²) about €5000 including materials and labor costs

I would be glad if you could tell me whether the reductions are okay or actually worth more.

Thank you very much in advance,

Petzschi

Hello,

That is the nature of things. Whoever wants to bring in a lot of EL (extras) plans completely differently, because dismantling is usually more expensive than upgrading!
Removing trades reduces the profit. The companies always calculate with the standard complete performance. When originally calculated scopes of work are removed, the calculation no longer works for the contractor. Therefore, the "compensation" is sometimes significantly reduced.
However, this is quite understandable and also legitimate!
Without knowing exact measurements and details, the credits seem acceptable. For that, I also come on site.
Storytime!

Best regards

Hello Petzschi,

if you get a credit of €5000 for 40 m2 of floor tiles, I would remove even more tiles, hire the best tiler myself, and use the rest to go on vacation or were material prices of €80 / m2 included in the construction service description?

Thank you for the quick responses. Well, it is always hard to say where one can really save when services are removed. But for us, it was said that [Dachdämmen], [Fließen] and [Bodenarbeiten] are the most suitable. Once again, THANK YOU!
