I would always have something like that planned individually. Especially on a slope, the access from the property and garden usually determines what a standalone bungalow does not take into account. The basement could also be designed individually, since there would also be a nice garden access here.

By "age-appropriate" we mean that everything necessary is on one level and everything is possibly accessible by roller shutter or wheelchair (for example, guest rooms could be in the basement).

That's what I thought. What about washing machines, technology, and appliances that are rarely used? Keep in mind: you need to make many trips daily to fetch, do, or operate something.

So we only need 70 sqm on the ground floor.
We would shorten a bungalow from Danhaus by about 7 sqm, one from EBK by 20 sqm.

If I take the idea from post #9 further, at -7 sqm it could already become a "negative saving" ;-) However, statics might not play a big role anymore (a 70 sqm bungalow will be a plain rectangular floor plan, with a truss roof it’s a simple matter).
