9,000 € for the additional thickness is too expensive. He has to have all the equipment anyway, possibly one more layer of compaction effort. + material costs of max. 3,000 €.

Meet at 4,500 and it is still well paid!

You should make your own assessment for the disposal and not rely on the company's assumptions. How much soil can be reused later? Is the soil usable, does it need to go to the landfill,... That can quickly add an extra zero to the 5,000 €. (Just the 85 m3 of extra soil is 5,000 € if you have to transport it to the landfill)

Thank you very much for your response.

For the removal we currently have an offer of about 5,800 € if we remove everything.
We will leave it for now (on the neighboring property) and see what remains in the end.

You already have the chemical soil analysis as well? Otherwise, the driving around could still hold a certain surprise potential.

The material costs vary regionally because there isn’t a suitable gravel pit on every street corner. If the material has to be brought in over longer distances, it gets expensive. 4500,- EUR would have been (unfortunately) by no means sufficient for the civil engineer in our case. Nevertheless, I also think that the price is set high, but that may simply have regional reasons.

We have a soil report available. The disposal costs are also included in the quoted price.

Is there a way to determine the material prices for our region (district Trier-Saarburg, rural area)?

Does the soil survey also include the chemical analysis? (This is only needed if soil has to be removed.) For example, we did not do one because the soil can be distributed on site.

Don't plan any removal yet, most plots are higher after construction, and there are areas for filling. For us, bungalow 125 sqm, the plot has risen by about 20cm and there is a step onto the terrace and into the house.
