Corner protectors on window sills and door jambs

Hello,

we are currently building a prefab house using timber frame construction and want to start with the puttying and painting work on the plasterboard panels. We are familiar with the theory so far. Aluminum corner protection strips are used on corners and window reveals.

However, is edge protection also required on door reveals and under a windowsill or countertop in the kitchen? If yes, which one?

The door reveals are enclosed by the frames, and under the windowsill I am more concerned with the offset of the panels.

If no frame/door is installed in the door jamb later, then yes. If it basically only serves as a passage. (e.g., to the dressing room).
