Hello everyone,
I need your expert opinion. We have an iDM brine heat pump Terra SWM 3-13 HGL-P. Initially, it was planned that, in addition to the Hygenik storage tank for domestic hot water preparation, we would install an additional thermal storage tank for the cooling function. The heat source available to us is the 160m deep geothermal probe. However, now we do not have an additional thermal storage tank but an extra heat exchanger for passive cooling. I am now somewhat confused and concerned that we might not be able to use the cooling as planned or desired. I know several builders (all with geothermal heat pumps using probes) in the new development area who all use the additional thermal storage tank. Do they then automatically have active cooling? Is something different about our system now? Have I misunderstood something?
Regards
