Conversion of an existing loan

Quick question, even though it doesn't concern me: What securities does the bank have between the sale of the old property and the purchase of the new property? Is the purchase price then securely deposited somewhere?

For me, it was like with Peanuts74. During this time, the still existing loan was fully backed by the sales proceeds at the bank.
