To return to the original question, I myself have taken a few shots with a thermal imaging camera. You normally won’t be able to see the individual heating coils or how closely they are spaced, because the screed and floor covering heat up and distribute the heat accordingly. However, if, for example, there is no pipe laid under a kitchen unit or similar, you will clearly see or even feel this with the camera, but also already in winter when barefoot.

If the screed has cooled beforehand and the thermography is done during the warm-up phase, the heating coils are clearly visible. I have carried this out many times myself.
