Hello everyone!

Does it make sense to start a new construction in mid/end of October or is it more sensible to start early in the spring? I know it depends on the weather and the argument that a shell construction can dry over the winter also speaks rather for autumn. However, if an early winter really comes again, in my opinion, it will be quite tight. It is supposed to be a solid construction without a basement. Maybe some of you have had experience and can share it with me. Thanks!

What construction period are you planning? We started in May and then hit the annoying autumn period for screed and plaster..

Why is autumn unsuitable for this? Because it doesn't dry as quickly anymore? Well, the plan would be to start in March as soon as possible and then we would be done with screed etc. in the summer. Or possibly still in October....

Was wet and cold... Cleaners and underfloor heating installers brought fan heaters so it wouldn’t be so cold during work -.- unfortunately this caused warm moist air to condense on the rather cold drywall and of course that got a bit moldy...

"Mid/end of October" is practically now.
Is everything already set? Building application is approved, contract is signed, earliest start of construction fixed in writing?

If it is too warm... then it is also bad for the people because it dries too quickly and there are cracks... so no matter how you do it, there is no perfect time frame...
