Hello everyone,
we are currently in the middle of planning our house. We are very satisfied with our builder regarding the house itself, but when it comes to the adjoining utility room with carport, we were quite taken aback.
A price of €20,000 was estimated for this. And that seems a bit high to us.
The room is supposed to be 6x3m in size and built onto the house. (So 3 exterior walls) In front of it, we want to build a double carport, whose roof also extends over the masonry room. Afterwards, we want to veneer the room to match the house.
In addition, the extension should have 2 doors. (1x to the carport and 1x to the garden)
The door into the house is already included in the house price, and we have discussed with the construction company that the floor slab for the room will be "free of charge" poured right at the start.
Does anyone have experience with such a construction project and can maybe tell us whether it is realistic to build the duo ourselves for under €20,000?
I have already done a lot of research on the internet but have not come to a decent result, because it should not be just the cheapest "junk," but should last for several years.
I would be grateful for any experience and am already looking forward to the answers!
Thank you in advance!!!
Best regards, Lena
