Construction dust during house building?

With us, all trades tidied up neatly behind themselves. Every day.

It was exactly the same with us. Everything exemplary.

I don't know it any other way from everyday life either. Every painter or drywall installer or or or cleans up afterwards, so why not also in house construction...

So right now the electricians are installing the boxes here. The entire shell construction is now covered with a fine stone dust. I hardly believe that will be cleaned up...

With us, everything was also tidy and clean. It was rare for a trade to leave anything lying around in the evening. If they did, it was gone the next day.

We also have dirt. I vacuumed about 150 kg of quartz sand. It was the surplus from the asphalt. The further along you are in construction, the cleaner the work should be done. This only has limited to do with the price but rather with the craftsmen's standards for themselves. You just talk to tradespeople who don’t pay attention or clean up. If that doesn’t work, the next authority has to be involved. That did not happen with us. Sure, if you only want cheap cheap, it probably won’t be that clean either...

Vacuuming during the shell construction is really over the top. Sweeping is completely sufficient. Before installing the screed, a bit more thorough cleaning is welcome. I consider it obvious that each trade disposes of its own waste and leaves the construction site reasonably clean / according to the construction progress. A vacuum cleaner only makes sense right before laying the floor coverings.
