That could quite well be true, because in 2013 there were 2 solid price increases in our industry – regardless of wage increases; interestingly always starting with copper prices, closely followed by the stone producers. Your BU was probably able to cap part of it, but now he would like to have the follow-up from you. Overall moderate, in my opinion :D

I've never heard that the price can increase after the contract is signed? A fixed price is a fixed price.... Or am I misunderstanding something?

Depends on the contract. In ours, there is no clause regarding price adjustment. The contractor is only entitled to increase the price in the case of a statutory value-added tax.
