Hello everyone,
I would like to install two IP cameras for monitoring the outdoor area in our new building from the start. One option would be, for example, the Instar 5907. Now I am wondering what needs to be specified in the electrical planning in this regard.
So far, I assumed that installing outdoor sockets at the intended camera locations would be the most sensible option. The disadvantage here, however, is that outside there would be a lot of cable clutter, including the power supply, which in my opinion is also difficult to conceal. In addition, I would necessarily rely on a Wi-Fi connection.
As another option, I now see simply having appropriate empty conduits installed and running the camera cable through them. This would make the wiring completely invisible from the outside. In addition, the network connection could be established directly via an Ethernet cable.
Do you perhaps have a tip for me as to which solution is preferable?
