Hello everyone,

this year I am insulating my house with 160mm insulation material.
Attached to the house is, on the one hand, a flat-roof single garage (uninsulated roof with gravel) which has direct connection to the house wall.
On the other hand, there is a balcony without roofing (floor slab separated from the house wall).

Both areas will be renovated as part of the refurbishment (new flooring/sealing and so on).
What do I need to consider regarding protection, sealing, etc. for the roof surface and also the balcony?
What preparatory work is necessary before the insulation work and what afterwards?

For example, I have already read that a "setback" is incorporated into the insulation at the garage to create a kind of drip edge here.

I have come across some similar topics in the forum; if I have overlooked an identical one... feel free to share it :)

I would appreciate experiences and opinions on the procedure.
I can gladly provide pictures if necessary.

Thank you very much!
