You don't have a washing machine?! Or is there something else abbreviated like that?

Aren't you a bit too old to still be taking your laundry to your mother? ;)

Guys, this is really off-topic, but before I get a bad reputation here: No, not my mother (she’s 81 and has earned her retirement). I am 55, single, and not a fashion fanatic. In summer, I wear linen shirts which I definitely wear again un-ironed after a little hand wash. I hardly ever wear socks in summer (unless the occasion forces it), and I have other underwear stocked for at least 6 weeks. So my rarely used laundry is only washed every 2-4 weeks. There are simply much nicer ways for me to spend my time than washing and ironing.

I also know someone who has everything taken to the dry cleaners. Why not. The most extreme case I know is someone who buys new socks. The really cheap stuff. It’s cheaper than washing. He has calculated it precisely… unfortunately, it’s even true. That it’s a waste of resources, etc., we don’t need to discuss. But vote green

How was it with Lagerfeld? He always bought everything new because he didn't want to expect anyone to wash his worn underwear. After criticism, it was then said that it would be donated. But then someone still had to wash it...
