Hello everyone,
I have a 7x5m shed, unfortunately the concrete was not finished cleanly and there are some grooves in the floor.
Now I have decided to give the floor a smooth surface, and I am considering whether to sand the floor or fill it with leveling compound. I am unsure if I can do the sanding properly.
Which leveling compound should I use? It should be self-leveling and of course suitable for outdoor use.

Another problem is that I would have to do the whole thing in two steps, first one half and then the other half because I have no place to store the materials elsewhere.

I would appreciate a prompt response.

Why do the grooves bother you? For a shed, it's great as it is. Otherwise, consider a coating. Expensive but very low maintenance.

Well, I have machines on casters as well as a large workbench, so it’s all hard to push. Oh, the grooves are max. 7mm.

I would have left the floor as it is, for a shed that’s fine. However, if it absolutely must be done, I would look for a few days with good weather and then put all the stuff outside in the garden.

Normally, the top layer has to be removed because it often is not suitable for a positive connection, for example with a resin. In our case, it was too "soft" in the garage. So if you want to do a sealing there, I would definitely sand and vacuum thoroughly. For lighter loads, there are leveling compounds, for example for basement rooms, etc.
