Concrete cellar drying - how long is appropriate

Hello,
our construction has actually started now and already questions are coming up again ...

currently our basement is being built, with the completion of the basement ceiling a quiet phase begins for now, because there will be 2 weeks of operational shutdown .

some say: great, the basement can dry a bit right away, others say: pure waste of time and that they would be very annoyed.

we can't change anything, personally I prefer slow and thorough , still I am interested in the professional opinion.

however, we are also clear that the basement will not be "dry" because of the 2 weeks ....

that’s not a problem at all. You write "Betonkeller". I assume these were prefabricated parts that were assembled and poured together. My suggestion (I did it the same way): simply protect against rain with foil and boards - that’s it. Air can circulate perfectly through the window openings, etc. And, when it’s as hot as it is right now: keep the basement ceiling well watered...

Oh, I thought that with concrete basements it was always the case that the prefabricated parts are cast on site. Moisture doesn't play a big role in that...
